At AMROCK, we manufacture composite FRP manhole covers — also referred to as fibreglass manhole covers or GRP drain covers — in round, square, and rectangular formats for footpaths, car parks, roads, airports, industrial sites, and commercial developments. Our covers are tested to BS EN 124 load classes from A15 through to D400, covering every application from a pedestrian footpath to a national highway carriageway.
We also supply matching FRP frames for new installations and replacements — so you can specify a complete cover and frame solution from a single supplier, with consistent material properties and dimensional fit.
The round format is specifically designed so the cover cannot fall into the chamber regardless of how it is oriented — a critical safety feature for road and footpath manholes. Available in 300 mm, 450 mm, 600 mm, 750 mm and 900 mm clear opening diameters.
For cable access chambers, inspection pits, valve boxes, and utility access points in footpaths and paved areas. Supplied in a range from 300×300 mm up to 1000×1000 mm, with rectangular options for gas valve, water meter, and service access chambers.
Recessed top FRP covers are designed to be infilled with paving materials, tiles, or resin-bound aggregate to match the surrounding surface — making them invisible in pedestrianised zones, shopping centres, airport terminals, and heritage streetscapes where visible covers would be aesthetically unacceptable.
